How to travel to Neringa

The easiest way to reach Lithuania is by plane (airports in Kaunas, Vilnius, Palanga) or by ferry (terminal in Klaipeda).

You reach Klaipeda:
From Vilnius and from Kaunas: take a train, bus (in summer, buses routes Vilnius-Nida, Kaunas-Nida), microbus, automobile (highway Vilnius-Klaipeda) or taxi.
From Palanga: take a bus, microbus, automobile or taxi.

Distance:
Palanga – Nida: 75 Km
Kaunas – Nida: 270 Km
Vilnius – Nida: 370 Km

Road from Klaipeda to the Curonian Spit:
you need to ferry across the Curonian lagoon to Smiltyne, from where you can take a bus, microbus or travel by other means of transportation to the desirable settlement of Neringa town (Juodkrante, Pervalka, Preila and Nida). Buses, microbuses or taxi depart only from the First Ferry Terminal (The Old Ferry Terminal – Žveju str. 8).

Note: The Old Ferry (Žveju str. 8) does not transfer the cars. You should go to the New Ferry (Nemuno str. 8).
Ferry rates: car with a driver – ca. 40 Lt, passengers – ca. 2 Lt.

You must pay an ecological fee by the entrance to National Park (about 7-8 km  far from the ferry towards Nida). Rates: Car - ca. 20 Lt, passengers – for free.
